Rescue Training

The other day when I was at Smith Point Beach they were doing some kind of rescue training for the lifeguards. Since it was right in front of me I couldn't pass up sketching it. Each scenario was over in a few minutes, but another group would practice pulling someone out, getting them on the board, and lifting them up. So some of the people are composites of different lifeguards.

  1. What a hoot - 'some of the people are composites' = I love it! A few of them look like they need to get out of the sun before they burn to a crisp. Super sketch Joan!

  2. Val, a lot of the time when I sketch groups of people that may move away I use the top of one person and the bottom of a similarly posed person if the first one has moved away. Thanks!
